I’ll re-draw my step-outs at some point, but wanted to start getting them up quickly so that they are available!

I’ll re-draw my step-outs at some point, but wanted to start getting them up quickly so that they are available!
Today I decided to dye a few tiles to use in the coming weeks, and to try it on a few index cards as well for a upcoming “one card a day” project in the Tangle All Around Facebook group that I belong to. I thought I’d share my process in case anyone would like to give it a try.
I use the “baggie” method which I have seen posted by multiple people on Facebook, Instagram, on blogs, and in videos. I’d give credit, but I’ve no idea where it started. I do know that it is quick and easy, and you can get some great results.
Supplies:
Tiles or cards to be dyed
Water-based markers (I used both Tombow brush tip pens and Crayola Pipsqueak markers today)
Spray bottle filled with water
Plastic baggie
Paper towels
Procedure:
TIP: I have found that if I lightly spray the back side of a tile I am going to dye first, it doesn’t curl as much and will dry much flatter
Here’s what I did today – 4 tiles and 3 index cards
I feel like I may have seen this pattern somewhere, but have searched and can’t find the step-out anywhere. I decided to go ahead and deconstruct the pattern to share and to make it easier for me to draw next time!
I’ve been drawing this little flower a lot lately, so I thought I’d do a quick step-out. Its easy enough you probably don’t even need one, but here goes!
I love this simple flower because there are so many ways to change the petals and make something new. Here are some examples of what I have done with it.
If you use Forp I would love to see your creations! If you’re posting on Instagram, tag me (@ekzenart) so I can see.
If you are interested in Zentangle® Style art and are on Facebook, check out the group Tangle All Around. We are currently doing The 100 Day Project with different pattern prompts for each day. We’re up to day 73, but it is never too late to join in, and there is always something new to try. I’ve been posting my daily drawing in the group and on Instagram, but I thought I’d share a few here as well. I hope you like them!
