I called this one Alice because it made me think of the Queen of Hearts.
Today I decided to dye a few tiles to use in the coming weeks, and to try it on a few index cards as well for a upcoming “one card a day” project in the Tangle All Around Facebook group that I belong to. I thought I’d share my process in case anyone would like to give it a try.
I use the “baggie” method which I have seen posted by multiple people on Facebook, Instagram, on blogs, and in videos. I’d give credit, but I’ve no idea where it started. I do know that it is quick and easy, and you can get some great results.
Supplies:
Tiles or cards to be dyed
Water-based markers (I used both Tombow brush tip pens and Crayola Pipsqueak markers today)
Spray bottle filled with water
Plastic baggie
Paper towels
Procedure:
TIP: I have found that if I lightly spray the back side of a tile I am going to dye first, it doesn’t curl as much and will dry much flatter
Here’s what I did today – 4 tiles and 3 index cards
